Internships, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, New York
The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) is part of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and assists foreign companies with their expansion into the Netherlands. The NFIA offers an internship position at its office in New York.
You will assist the assistant directors in finding new clients and project management. One of your main activities will be to identify potential foreign investors with the help of different sources. Also, you will approach them via emails and with phone calls to set up meetings. You will put together tailor-made information packages with the aim to inform clients of the advantages of the Netherlands.
In addition, you will make benchmark studies that compare European business locations, making use of independent databases. Other tasks include attending networking events and assisting with organizing our own events.
You are an ambitious student who is 21 years or older and who studies international business, marketing, international economics, international relations, or a comparable major, with a passion for marketing and a strong drive to make things happen. Please note that we do not accept research internships; you will be working within our team on a full-time basis.
You are fluent in spoken and written English. You are accustomed to working in an international environment. You are flexible and you like to take initiative. You are conscientious in your work but not afraid to make mistakes. You need to have the Dutch nationality, and during the entire internship you will have to be registered as a student at a Dutch university (WO/HBO).
Our fall internship starts early September and ends January 31 (application deadline: May 31).
