Internship, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, Atlanta

The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), part of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, is offering an internship position at its office in Atlanta. The intern will assist the Directors and Assistant Directors in lead generation, market research and investor relations.

You will play an important role in our lead generation efforts, i.e. your job will be to research our territory (the Southeast), track down potential foreign investors and assist the AAD’s in the approach (via emails and with phone calls) to help set up meetings.

In addition, you will make benchmark studies that compare European business locations, making use of independent databases. You will also make power point presentations with the aim to inform clients of the advantages of the Netherlands on a tailor-made basis. Other tasks include attending networking events and assisting with organizing our own events.

Lastly, you will be tasked with updating our current investor database.

The candidate

You are an ambitious student who is 21 years or older and who studies international business, marketing, international economics, international relations, or a comparable major, with a commercial focus and a strong drive to make things happen. You are fluent in English, in both spoken and written form. You are accustomed to working in an international environment. You are flexible, and you like to take initiative. You are conscientious in your work, but not afraid to make mistakes.

You must have the Dutch nationality and actively enrolled as a student with a Dutch university.

Our fall internship starts at the end of August and ends January 31 (application deadline: May 1).

Our spring internship starts mid-January and ends June 30 (application deadline: October 15).
